Where on Earth did I go?

So I’m sure that some of you who read this are wondering what on earth happened to Ross, which I can totally understand.  What you don’t know (unless you see me on a regular basis) is that I haven’t gone anywhere.  Anyways, here is an update on my life and everything around me:

SGA

Well, SGA has been great this year so far.  We have had three (I hope this is the right number) Executive Board meetings, Freshman Elections, a Senate retreat, and so much more.  We will be working collectively to create positive change at the College that will be seen by the students for years to come.  Last week was the Organization Street Fair that despite stressing me out proved to be pretty successful.  I was happy to see so many smiling faces seeing how easy it can be to get involved in Charleston.  Half the street was student organizations while the other half was Civic Engagement and Community Groups that were brought in by Stephanie Auwaerter and Stephanie Visser.  They were really awesome to work with and I look forward to working with them again in the future.

SGA now has a radio show that is from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm every Monday streaming online at www.cofcradio.com.

Erin

So…I now have a girlfriend and her name is Erin.  Erin is a Senior English major.  She is really awesome and I always have a fun time hanging out with her.  I don’t really have much more to say on this without being like embarrassing.  Well, I guess I will say more though, because otherwise I would be really boring.  We like to goof around and pretend to be old people and talk about things like dentures and prune juice.  Some of my friends have said that they don’t remember me ever being so happy.

Mom’s Health

So my mom’s surgery went well according to everyone at home.  She has been sounding pretty good on the phone and when I call my dad he sounds pretty positive on the whole situation.  I’m sad that I won’t get to see her until fall break, but I’m glad I will get to see her since things were so stressful when I left Marietta to head back to school.

The Beard

So operation grow a beard failed pretty bad.  I decided that I was looking pretty bad so I went to CVS, bought another one of the same razor I have and proceeded to shave off my beard.  My buddy Zach shaved his beard after growing his for 7 months which was pretty crazy.  I’m pretty sure we shocked all of our friends with that.  I’m pretty sure I look better clean shaven anyway.

Classes

You know you go to college and it seems like half the time you don’t talk about your classes.  I really like my classes, especially my Macroeconomics class.  My teacher is really goofy and much more energetic than my high school Microeconomics teacher to say the least.  I will never look at economics the same after this class, or at least I don’t think.

Overall

Things are going pretty well in Charleston and I am enjoying myself.  Anyways, time to get back to work!
