Fender Adventure Part Deux

So yesterday both me and Fender were both bored, so we decided to go on another adventure.  Just like last time, we were both hungry, but we went to Zaxby’s instead.  I ordered Buffalo Chicken fingers and was reminded why I last time I just got chicken fingers.  We sat and ate and talked about the past week.  Campers and staff we both know said their goodbyes yesterday, so we were both not thrilled about that (obviously).  After that we couldn’t decide what to do, but left to the parking lot.  Outside the door were a bunch of kids not much younger than us having a competition to see who could do the longest standing jump based on the distance on the cross walk.  It made me think of the day we played jump the creek at camp and one of my smallest campers won and beat my co-counselor.

Anyways, we left the parking lot and headed for East Cobb Park.  The lights were still on which was lucky, because I needed the bathroom.  On my way down, two guys asked if we wanted Oreos which was pretty sketchy, no lie.  I don’t know what it is, but every time I go to use the bathroom there, it seems like it gets dirtier and dirtier like nobody ever cleans it.  Anyways, once I left the bathroom, me and Fender saw a random group of kids there.  There were like 30-40 kids and a bunch of little school buses that they must have come on.  We don’t know who they were, but whatever.  After that, we threw around the frisbee a little bit and talked some more.  It sort of reminded me of the times I used to do the same almost every Saturday with Jason.  We (well, I) got bored of playing, so we put away the frisbee and took a lap around the park.  We stopped over by the picnic tables where the kids had been and I saw Wes putting up stuff about the concerts that are going to be at the park next week.  I doubt I’ll be going, but if you are free, check it out, I mean it’s free.

After Wes left, we got in my car and I suggested we go to Walton.  I hadn’t really been by since I graduated other than once or twice so it was a nice little treat.  We went over to where the band tower is, but it is locked so we didn’t really get to go on an adventure there.  After that, we went down to check out this new wall they put in over at the E lot.  I don’t really understand why it is there, but that is Walton for you.

After that, we were going to leave until I saw the drive up to Raider Mountain.  I didn’t realize there were stairs on the way down the opposite way, so when I got to the top I was pretty bummed.  I spent like ten minutes trying to get down before I let Fender try and and it only took him like two minutes.  It was quite epic almost having my car stuck on Raider Mountain, no lie.

After that, the adventure was pretty much over.  We were both pretty tired and I was just scared I might do something stupid so I started driving Fender home.  On the way, I brought my car up to 65 on Roswell Road and put it in neural to see how far we could go.  I went from the light after the Avenue to Fender’s neighborhood without putting my foot on the gas.

I got my hair cut and Stuart also shaped my beard.  He showed me how I need to shave it to keep it neat.  I might actually keep it for a while, unlike I had originally planned.  I think it makes me look more mature.

Anyways, peace

Ross
