Lots of Readers

After the number of readers from yesterday, I really felt a need to write again and see if that will continue.

Today I woke up early and started what will be an ongoing workout routine.  I got out of bed, put on some gym shorts, and went down into the basement.  I turned on the TV to Sportscenter and watched highlights while riding on a stationary bike for a bit.  The long term hope for me is to lose a decent amount weight and get into better shape, but we will see where this takes me.  Maybe I will be able to go back to playing soccer again.  I am hoping to get into good enough shape to play intramural soccer at CofC, but who really knows.

I found out today that tuition at CofC will be going up by 7% for out-of-state students like myself (sorry mom and dad and everyone else at CofC who pays out of state).  I realize the necessity, but it doesn’t mean I’m not at least a bit upset.  I trust the Board of Trustess in their decision to raise tuition.  It was necessary considering the huge chunk of state funding we lost this year in budget cuts.

I was contacted today by Heather Dykes (DykesH@cofc.edu) about Organized Chaos.  She is looking for volunteers and will be putting the name of any organization with 15 or more volunteers and will allow students who help to move in early.  I am really excited to be a part of that and hope to find at least 14 SGA members to go along with me.

Camp was good today.  New campers this week with only five this week.  We are the Mighty Ducks this week, and are no longer on a boat, but will conclude filming in the near future of our music video for shabbat Friday hopefully.

That’s all for now

Ross
