We’ve all worked on a paper and felt like the internet was suddenly slowing to a standstill. I don’t know about y’all, but I remember the days of a 56 k modem. Things are better, but I know that we as the College can have a better wireless network. What I would like to propose is that Information Technology and Campus Technology do a scan of internet around campus to see where the weakest places are and work to make our network stronger. I hear too often from students things like,”I can’t watch that, because it is going to take forever to load.” We net to restore confidence in our campus network. Students should have a dependable campus wide wireless network and a dependable network is residence halls. Students should look at Resnet and CWWPA and be happy with the services they are being provided.
